Buried in Laigh Kirk {Now St. Columba's Church - Church of Scotland} MI reads:
Erected by William Skimming in memory of his daughter Elizabeth who died 28 May 1873 aged 28 years. And his son William who was killed at Stewarton Station 19 July 1882 aged 29 years. And the above William Skimming who died 18 April 1886 aged 67 years. Also his wife Jean Morgan who died 10 Aug. 1894 aged 73 years. [Note Stone is lying face down]
